Solar-bration of the Solar Eclipse!

Monday, August 21, 2017 -
12:30pm to 1:30pm
Meeting Room A

Come Solar-brate and watch the eclipse at the library! On Monday, August 21, 2017, a total eclipse of the Sun will be visible in the continental United States. This total eclipse will only be visible on a narrow track stretching across the United States from Oregon to South Carolina. No other country will get to see the total eclipse this time.

We will meet in Meeting Room A and make our way outside for a viewing of the partial eclipse. We will learn about the solar eclipse. A partial eclipse is dangerous to look at without something to protect your eyes from the Sun’s damaging rays, so grab you solar eclipse glasses that we will be handing out courtesy of Starnet.

Partial eclipse begins: Aug 21 at 11:46 am
Maximum eclipse: Aug 21 at 1:12 pm
Partial eclipse ends: August 21 at 2:36 pm
