International Authors: Works In Progress:

In conjunction with “Works-in- Progress,” UI festival that will ‘provide artists with a forum for presenting works-in-progress to a discerning, yet sympathetic, public,’ this panel raises basic questions about the mechanisms of creative work: how does one begin, and how does one know when to stop? What if no progress is made for a long time? What is the best, and worst, feedback you’ve ever been given? Collaborative and/or performance-based, this panel will be an opportunity to discuss and present work in an open format.


The International Authors program series provides an opportunity for the community to meet and converse with Writers in Residence from around the world at the UI International Writing Program.



International Authors, the International Writing Program's discussion series, is sponsored by The Iowa City Public Library and the UI International Writing Program. Programs are free and open to the public.
