Carnaval

Millions of people around the world celebrate the 800-year old tradition of carnival. Carnaval is a mixture of African, Chinese, Indian, Caribbean, Latin American, and European cultural traditions. Sponsored by The Iowa City Carnaval Arts Project, the display features Brazilian parade headdresses on loan from U of I Professor Armando Duarte.
