CLIMATE 911 began with one doctor who rode a bicycle across the United States to raise awareness of climate change's threat to health. Doctors, nurses, medical students and friends along the way joined to create a national network to educate health professionals and the public about the health effects of climate change and the need for urgent action.
We monitor the scientific literature about climate and health; disseminate up to date information to our colleagues, policymakers, and the general public; and encourage everyone to act to lower greenhouse gas emissions.
