Wetherby Edible Forest; Community Visioning Part 1

Join Backyard Abundance as we prepare to expand the Wetherby Park Food Maze into a fully functioning 1/3 acre agroforestry system.

In this first of two community visioning meetings we will discuss edible landscaping and high-value orchard crops, then use this information to create a working design to be implemented at Wetherby Park. Participants will not only gain valuable knowledge of what it takes to plan a successful agroforestry system, they will also have a say in influencing this emerging local treasure. The resultant Wetherby Edible Forest will inspire neighbors to come together to grow our own food, while at the same time helping to rehab our local ecosystem.

Those who live in the vicinity of Wetherby Park, as well as friends from all over the greater Iowa City area, are encouraged to attend; and to get involved with this exciting and progressive new project that will benefit our community for generations to come.
